Join us every Last Friday of the month from April through October for Living Arts in River Park—a vibrant collabrative evening of artistic expression and community connection in the heart of Hillsborough!
We invite YOU to come and LIVE YOUR ART—embrace the space to delve into your artistic expression, whether it’s painting, poetry, drumming, dancing, crafting, or simply bring a blanket to meditate.
Evening Linup:
6-7 PM - Community Drumming with LAC
7-7:30 - Monthly Rotation Offering*
7:30-9 PM - Live Your Art + Music + Dance
+ Family ART Area, double dutch, and crafts held by LAC throughout the evening!
*April’s event celebrates Earth Month with Tree Swinging in River Park and Earth Evening in the Pavilion!
What to bring? An instrument, a chair, some creative tools, and a friend.
No matter your experience or comfort level with drumming, dance, or art, these gatherings offer an opportunity to appreciate, activate, and expand. All are welcome!

Living Arts Collective lineups feature a range of interactive, educational activities and opportunities to connect with yourself, your environment, and your community.
LAC is an organization dedicated to artistic expression, embodied movement, dance, education, healing arts, and building community. Whether in their a co-creative studio space in Durham or at Last Fridays in Hillsborough, LAC holds an open space for voices of all ages, races, religions, genders, cultural backgrounds, shapes, sexual orientations, and educational backgrounds to be heard.
The Living Arts in River Park are brought to Last Fridays and YOU through collaboration between the Hillsborough Arts Council, the Living Arts Collective, and Drumming for Wellness NC.
