Handmade Market will take place Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 12-6 PM, at Hillsborough's River Park:
228 S Churton St. Hillsborough, NC 27278.

To secure your spot, please submit your final $100.00 vendor payment online or by check. Payment must be received by Monday, May 6, 2024 (unless otherwise communicated with you).

Payment can also be made by check. To do so, make your check payable to Hillsborough Arts Council with "2024 Handmade Market Vendor Payment" in the memo line, and mail to the following:

VENDOR LOGISTICS & FYIs:

Weekend of Art - This curated, community art show is part of the bi-annual Weekend of Art in Hillsborough, NC, coinciding with May 31’s Last Friday & the Art Walk, and the 2024 Handmade Parade! We expect 4,000-6,000 visitors to the market throughout the day, particularly after the Saturday morning Farmers Market (just next door) and surrounding Handmade Parade.

Weather - Barring dangerous conditions, this is a rain or shine event. Because of everything that goes into bringing the Weekend of Art together for the Hillsborough community, we are not able to offer a rain date for this experience. Please come prepared to protect your work in the event of light rain (tent flaps, an extra tarp, etc.).

Supplies - Artists are required to bring tents, tent weights/sandbags, tables, and any other supplies needed for your booth. Please note - Tent stakes are not permitted for use in Hillsborough's River Park.

Electricity & WIFI - We cannot guarantee access to electricity or WIFI at this time. If providing a mobile payment option, we recommend bringing a battery-powered POS with offline processing or a mobile hot spot.

Artist Parking - Find the lot directly between 208 and 210 S Cameron St, near the Orange County Board of Elections. See map.
EVENT TIMELINE:
10 AM - Arrival at Artist Parking; Load-In & Setup - We will have volunteers and wagons on-site to help with loading, but we highly recommend bringing a friend or family member to assist you with loading and maintaining a presence at your booth if you'd like to take breaks throughout the market.
12 PM - Handmade Market OPENS
4 PM - Handmade Parade Begins (along Churton Street)
5 PM - Handmade Parade Ends with a Jamboree & Puppet Petting Zoo in River Park!
6 PM - Handmade Market CLOSES
6-8 PM - Breakdown & Load-Out

ADA Load-In - We have limited spots/accommodations available for those who require ADA access for loading into and out of the park. If this is the case for you, please let us know by May 13, 2024, so we can prepare accordingly.

Spot Assignments - You will be sent a map of your spot assignments by Monday, May 20, 2024, along with full event-day logistics (reminders, spot assignments, a detailed event overview, etc.).

Spots - A 10x10' space will be allotted for each vendor, marked with surveying flags & spot numbers upon arrival
